Throughout his career, he has worked extensively in all parts of the value chain and with clients in diverse geographies.
Drawing on close to 30 years of experience, Serge provides guidance on strategies and business models and helps clients build the capabilities required for the new energy world.
He earned a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Ghent University, an ABMP degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an MBA in General Management from Vlerick Business School.

Serge helps clients take advantage of low-carbon renewable energy sources and emerging technologies. His work directly contributes to greener operations, a better and more efficient customer experience and increased green capital investment potential.
As Director General of BEUC, Monique represents 46 independent national consumer associations in 32 European countries, acting as a strong consumer voice in Brussels, ensuring that consumer interests are given weight in the development of policies and raising the visibility and effectiveness of the consumer movement through lobbying EU institutions and media contacts.
As a consumer expert and advocate, and on behalf of BEUC, Monique is a member of the Euro Retail Payments Board as well as of the European Commission’s Consumer Policy Advisory Group. She is also a member of the Advisory Group on Noncommunicable Diseases of WHO-Region Europe. Previously, she was a member of the expert group on “Online Disinformation” (2018), the expert group on “trade agreements” (2018-2019), the EU High Level Forum for the Capital Market Union (2020) and sub-group on Artificial Intelligence, Connected Products and other new Challenges in Product Safety (2020), and the European Commission’s Platform on Sustainable Finance and Expert Group High-Level Roundtable on Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (2021-2022). She was also Vice-Chair of the European Advisory Board of the Open Society Foundations (2017-2020).
In her capacity as BEUC Director General, Monique is currently EU Co-Chair of the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) a network of EU and US consumer organisations, and she also represents BEUC at Consumers International, the international consumer organisation.
Apart from championing consumers’ rights, Monique’s passions/challenges are her family & cooking for friends – including delicious veggie meals.

Starting her career in the hospitality sector with Best Western and Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Carla has put customer relationships and experience at the heart of the Volta Trucks’ business development strategy, spearheading partnership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, which culminated in Europe’s two largest ever orders of electric heavy commercial vehicles, with Petit Forestier and DB Schenker. Since Volta Trucks launched 18 months ago, the commercial team has grown exponentially, with cross-sector experience, facilitating market entry into seven European countries and customer engagement across multiple industries
Since January 2022 Markus Mildner has been CEO of eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
Previously, he headed the global sales organization at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. Between 2016 and 2019 Markus was General Manager for Siemens Energy Management Division in China. In the past he held several Executive Management positions at Siemens and BenQ in Germany, Colombia, and Mexico.
Besides several board memberships Markus is currently serving as Industrial Advisor to the Low Carbon Institute of the Jiao Tong University of Shanghai and as Chairman of the Infrastructure Group of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association.”

Céline Domecq joined Volvo Cars as Public Affairs Director and Head of the EU office in October 2016. Previously she has worked for the European Automobile Manufacturers Association and in the European Parliament. She has a Master in European Studies from ZEI in Bonn, Germany and holds a degree in Political Science from Leicester University in the UK.
Engineer and graduate of the Centrale-Supélec engineering school, Pierre de Firmas has been working in several departments of the EDF Group. He started in distribution as operational manager, then worked as senior analyst in the corporate Strategy division before joining the corporate finance division in charge of the Group's financial trajectory and then the International division, working successively to develop the Group's positions in Italy, Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe. After 5 years at Luminus in Belgium, in charge of Strategy, Business Development and Innovation, he became Director of Electric Mobility at Enedis in March 2021.
Previous career: Electronics engineer in 1989 (ENSERG, Grenoble) and after one year of military service for French Navy, I spent 10 years in the field of microelectronics (7 years at Texas Instruments and 3 years at Cadence Design Systems in technical and sales positions).
In 2000, I joined EDF in the Department of Key Accounts (start of energy markets deregulation) where I stayed during 6 years before moving to Brussels for 3 years as Sales Director of EDF Belgium. I returned in France end of 2009 in the East Region as Sales Regional Director for 4 years.
From 2013 to 2015, I was Director of sales activities for EDF Continental Europe, then from 2015 to 2018, Director of Synergies in the Customer & Services division.
Since end of 2018, I have been Director of Partnerships & Development at Electric Mobility Division of EDF Group.
Julia joined T&E in June 2015 and now leads its vehicles and electrification work across light and heavy-duty road transport. This includes policy and projects on car emissions and emobility, such as EU vehicle CO2 standards, sustainable batteries, and infrastructure for electric vehicles. Julia also represents T&E on the board of the Global Battery Alliance, and is an unpaid advisor to the board of Vulcan Energy Resources.
Julia previously worked as senior EU environment expert for the Mayor of London and, as an advisor to an MEP, followed legislation on renewables, energy efficiency and sustainable transport. Hailing from Latvia, Julia studied European politics and French at Goldsmiths, University of London, and holds an MSc in energy from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, specialising in batteries and fuel cells. She speaks English, French, Latvian and Russian, and loves swimming and travelling in her spare time – as well as good red wine (with emphasis on oenology, not drinking, of course).

Mr. Kyriakos Kofinas has 27 years of Executive Career in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Held positions as Regional CEO, Business Director, Principal and as Head Coach in FMCG, Medical, Retail, Luxury, Executive Search, and in e-Mobility. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Athens, an ΜΒΑ from the Manchester Business School and an MSc in E-Commerce from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is also a certified Executive & Business Coach.
Julie Beaufils is the Secretary General of EuropeOn, the European electrical contractors’ association. Founded in 1954, EuropeOn is the voice of the professionals who “switch Europe ON” by operating electrical systems in buildings and infrastructures, including rooftop solar panels, energy management systems and electric vehicles’ charging points. Julie is also in charge of the Skills4Climate campaign, raising awareness on the shortages in skilled professionals, an issue that will considerably weigh on Europe’s ability to deliver the energy transition. Originally from France, Julie studied Public Administration at Sciences Po Paris and European affairs at King’s College London.
Kristian Ruby took over as Secretary General of Eurelectric, effective 1 January 2017. Prior to his appointment, he worked at WindEurope as part of the Executive Management team where, in his capacity as Chief Policy Officer, he was in charge of developing and implementing the political strategy of the association. Mr Ruby previously also held positions as assistant to the former European Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard and served, for a number of years, as a public servant in the Danish Ministries of Climate and Energy as well as Environment.
Oliver Franz took up the position of Vice President European Associations at E.ON in July 2022.
Before joining E.ON SE, Oliver was Head of Regulatory Strategy and Regulatory Service within innogy SE where smart metering used to be an important part of his work.
He previously held various positions in regulatory management of the RWE Group.
Recently, Oliver has also been working on E-Mobility.
Oliver is a regulatory expert focussing on energy markets and energy networks for the most part but also have knowledge on financial regulation. He specializes in telco regulation; especially in the FttX environment.
He also teaches energy economics and regulatory economics at different institutions (inter alia TU Berlin).
Oliver is chair of Eurelectric Distribution & Market Facilitation Committee.
Kjetil Storset has decades of experience in the Power Grid industry from several group executive positions both on the Power Utility and Software Vendor side. For the past few years, he has been leading the growth investment program Spark by Volue. With extensive knowledge and scalable digital services, Spark by Volue will empower flexible energy resources, like EVs, to help distribution system operators enable the energy transition on neighbourhood level.

Claire Miller is an innovator, engineer, and advisor working at the intersection of mobility and energy decarbonisation. As passionate about delivering new technologies to users as developing novel business models and strategies, she takes a whole system approach to tackling challenges and her objective is always to make a significant positive impact on the world around us. Claire was a founding member of the team at Octopus Electric Vehicles, part of the Octopus Energy Group. As Director of Tech & Innovation she led the delivery of the Powerloop vehicle to grid (V2G) service, and architected the systems and digital environments that enable the day to day operation of the EV leasing business.
She is an enthusiastic educator, mentor, and communicator. She is regularly quoted in the press, contributes to technical advisory groups across the mobility and energy ecosystem, and delivers lectures to a diverse range of industry and academic audiences. Claire holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, and has received recognition as an expert and leader, including Business Insider, Women Powering Smart Energy (Engineering), Autocar Great Women in the British Car Industry (Mobility & Digital), EV Summit Top Women in EV (Technology).
A lawyer by training, Daniel Mes started his career at the European Commission in its competition department. There he worked on transport and digital technology files. During the last Commission term, he managed relations with the European Parliament and the Council, including on transport files, and was a speechwriter to Margrethe Vestager. Since 1 December 2019, he works in the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans on the European Green Deal in Transport.
As Head of eMobility Sales Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Dr. Andreas Scharff strives to provide customers with the best possible sustainable transport solution – from zero emission vehicle to reliable infrastructure.
A firm proponent of ‘customer centricity’, Andreas previously held management positions at Daimler Truck, Robert Bosch and Roland Berger, gaining expertise in sales & marketing, product management, sustainable powertrains and management of disruptive transformation.

From electric guitars to electric cars Roger has been on a colourful journey! After a couple of decades singing the praises of combustion engines he changed his tune a decade ago to become an EV advocate. Musician turned business consultant, his 'Electric Vehicles Outlook' consultancy has been busy with automotive, finance, mining, and energy clients, as well as publicly sharing an EV narrative on the LinkedIn platform where he now has in excess of 200,000 followers. A trio of start-ups behind him:- online car retailing at Virgin cars: amphibious vehicles with Gibbs: and electric trucks at Modec, he now acts as Brand Ambassador for SAIC Europe, and Rimac Automobili, as well as helping French start-up Paris Electric and Gao Feng Advisory in China.
Lucie Mattera is the Secretary General of ChargeUp Europe, the voice of the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure industry. ChargeUp Europe is committed to delivering a seamless charging experience for EV drivers, incentivising investments and creating a consumer-centric, open market model for charging infrastructure in Europe. Lucie has extensive European political and policy experience, having worked in the European Parliament, at cabinet level in the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance and the European Commission, in the cabinet of the President of the European Council and at the U.S. Mission to the EU. She also has leadership experience in trade and green associations in Brussels. She is committed to further shaping the EV charging infrastructure sector and placing it at the heart of the EU’s twin digital and green transition.
Ellie is a Metals and Mining Analyst at BloombergNEF. Her research covers battery metals and their sustainable extractions. Since January 2022, Ellie has also been a member on WISE's Young Professionals' Board that aims to improve gender balance in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) roles in the UK.
Prior to her role at BloombergNEF, Ellie spent time as a Research Scientist with RFC Power, an energy storage start up, before joining the UK Government. During her time at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, she worked in oil and gas policy and energy innovation funding. Ellie holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from the University of Nottingham and a MRes in Green Chemistry from Imperial College London.

Ludvig Hubendick works as Bid and Analytics Manager for Candela Technology, the world leader in electric hydrofoil technology and top seller of electric boats. Among other things, he works with societal and market analysis on how electrification of waterborne traffic could benefit passengers, societies, and the environment. Before Candela, he spent several years as Political Advisor to two ministers in the Swedish government. In addition, he has 15 years of international experience working on different sustainability issues for the private sector and NGOs.
Graduated in Political Science at the LUISS University of Rome, she speaks 4 foreign languages (English, French, German and Spanish). After an initial experience at Indesit, thanks to which she lived between Frankfurt and Madrid for three years, she began her career at Enel in 2001 as product manager. She soon became responsible for product development, managing to implement services and rates chosen by over 2 million customers.
In 2006, following the liberalization of the energy markets, Enel split into two companies, one for the free market and one for the regulated market. On this occasion, Marilisa Partipilo first became Head of Strategy in the market division and, later Head of Retail Marketing.
In 2009 she was appointed Loyalty and Partnership Manager Director and in 2013 Head of Marketing Communications. From 2015 until March 2022, she was involved in Public Affairs and Sustainability projects, being appointed Head of all the regions of Northern Italy. Fathi Tlatli is the President of DHL’s Global Auto-Mobility Sector, responsible for the integrated strategy, the global EV development and global customer management for DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation.
Fathi has held several international positions.
He is with DHL for over 20 years. He has been Vice President for the EMEA Engineering & Manufacturing Sector. Then received additional responsibility for the Global Aerospace Sector, before taking global responsibility for the Auto-Mobility sector.
Fathi is the author of books on Time Management and Marketing in Emerging Markets, as well as articles in the international management and global supply chain management fields. He is also a professor at the ICHEC Brussels Management School.
Gabriella Edberg is the Head of Sales at Hiven Energy, a company with a mission to enable the green transition of energy by making the way we consume energy smarter for the benefit of the consumer, the power system, and the environment. With an broad experience from energy and the automotive sector and a passion for driving innovation she have scaled up Hivens commercial activities and build an sales organization across Europe. Gabriella’s main focus is to provide smart steering and flexibility services with Hivens energy management algorithms - with the main goal to make the way we consume energy greener, cheaper, and smarter.
Isabel Gomez has a degree in Physics and has developed all her career at Iberdrola, first in the Power Generation area and afterwards in the Climate Change and Innovation directorate.
Her concern about the impact of Climate Change has helped her to develop her work in the area of Climate Change first and Innovation and Sustainability now, where she performs analysis about decarbonization technologies and policies in electricity generation and transport as a Senior Analyst on Energy Prospective.
One of her areas of investigation is critical minerals in energy transition technologies.
Ivan-Asen Ivanov is an Energy & Climate Policy Officer at Eurelectric. Working as the advisor for all policy matters related to two high-level working groups within the association – WG E-mobility and WG Electrification & Energy Efficiency – he is representing the interests of Eurelectric’s vast body of members active in power generation, distribution, and supply across 30 European countries.
Prior to joining Eurelectric, Ivan-Asen was part of the ENVI Committee team at the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament. Furthermore, he has worked extensively on various EU public affairs topics in Brussels, covering roles from energy consulting to NGO advocacy. A Bulgarian native, Ivan-Asen has studied Political Science with a focus on European affairs and environmental policy, in Sofia University and Sciences Po Paris.
Bruce Douglas has 25 years’ international experience in the promotion of renewable energy and electrification. He is currently Director of Communications and Business at Eurelectric based in Brussels, representing over 3000 companies active in the European power sector.
Previously he has held the following positions: Deputy CEO of SolarPower Europe, Coordinator of the RE-Source Platform – the European alliance for corporate sourcing of renewable energy, founding Chairman of the Global Solar Council (GSC), Chief Operating Officer at WindEurope for 10 years, founding Secretary General of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and Managing Director of FLiDAR, an offshore wind company. He has a Master degree in renewable energy systems technology and is fluent in English and French.
