Jean-Bernard Lévy was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EDF Group on November 26th, 2014.
From December 2012 to November 2014 he was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thales, a leading electronics and systems industrial group.
From 2002 to 2012, he was at Vivendi, a global communications and digital media company, based in Paris. He was Chief Operating Officer of Vivendi from 2002 to 2005, and CEO from 2005 to 2012.
From 1998 to 2002 he was Managing Partner, Corporate Finance at Oddo & Cie.
From 1995 to 1998 he was Chairman and CEO of Matra Communication.
Jean-Bernard Lévy was General Manager, Communications satellites of Matra Espace and then Matra Marconi Space from 1988 until 1993, when he became Chief of Staff to Gérard Longuet, the French Minister for Industry, Postal Services & Telecommunications and Foreign Trade.
From 1986 to 1988, he was Advisor to Gérard Longuet, the French Minister for Postal and Telecommunications Services.
Jean-Bernard Lévy began his career in 1979 with France Telecom as an engineer in Angers. In 1982, he became responsible for the management of senior staff and budgets, and was later promoted to deputy head of Human Resources.

Jean-Bernard Lévy, 63, is married with four children. He is a graduate of the École Polytechnique (1973) and Télécom ParisTech. He is an officer of the Légion d’Honneur and of the Ordre National du Mérite.

Adina Vălean is the European Commissioner for Transport. Before taking office on December 1st 2019, she was a Member of the European Parliament for 12 years. As an MEP she served as the Chairwoman of ITRE Committee (July-December 2019), Chairwoman of ENVI Committee (2017-2019) and as Vice-President of the European Parliament (2014-2017). She was also a Member of the Romanian Parliament between 2004-2007. Adina Vălean holds a Master degree in European Integration Studies and Security and a bachelor degree in Mathematics.

Martin Daum was born on October 28, 1959, in Karlsruhe, Germany. After graduating from high school in 1978, he did an apprenticeship as a banker. Post his apprenticeship, in 1980, he studied economics at the University of Mannheim, Germany, and graduated with a master’s degree in economics in 1985. After two
years of working as a Management Consultant, he joined the then Daimler-Benz AG in 1987.

which includes state-owned, municipal, and private companies as well as associations within the energy sector.

Åsa comes from a position as head of Public Affairs  & Sustainability at Scania, a global manufacturer of trucks and buses, which she held between 2014- 2021. As such, she was responsible finding way to drive the shift to a sustainable transport system in dialogue with society and working in partnerships. She has more than to

20 years of experience of working with sustainability and public affairs in the transport and energy sector in Stockholm and Brussels.

Before joining Scania, she worked with sustainability and public affairs at the Swedish energy company Vattenfall AB at which she occupied various leading positions, including Head of Group Public Affairs and, Head of Group Sustainability.

She has a Master of Arts focused in Political Science & French from Lund University and completing studies in Climate Change and & Environmental protection from Stockholm University.

Sandra is head of our EV100 initiative, a global leadership platform bringing together major companies committed to accelerating the switch to electric transport to make it ‘the new normal’ by 2030. She also leads the development of our broader work on electro-mobility and clean transport.

Sandra has held various positions in developing the Climate Group’s engagement work with business as well as state and regional governments. She was also part of the founding secretariat for the We Mean Business coalition.

Previously, Sandra spent eight years in Brussels, where she led the public affairs team of a German political communications agency and set up its EU office. She holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Osnabrück, Germany, as well as an MA in Central and Eastern European Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland and an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Exeter, UK.

He also served as Head of Planning and Control of the Enel Group and of the Global Infrastructure and Networks Business Line. Born in 1976 and graduated with an M.Eng with Distinction in Mechanical Engineering in the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland) and an MBA by MITSloan (Boston, USA).

He initiated his career at UBS Investment Bank in London, UK, where he worked primarily in Mergers and Acquisitions in various projects in European countries, including Portugal, as well as in Japan, Thailand and Brazil.

Miguel lived between 1994 and 2003 in Scotland, Italy, England, Portugal and the USA.   In  2000, he joined EDP in the area of Strategy and Corporate Development / M & A and was the Director of this area between 2005 and 2009.

During this period Miguel coordinated and managed various M&A  and capital market transactions for EDP, including the acquisition of  several companies  that gave rise to EDP Renewables, the acquisition of Hidrocantabrico, the different phases of EDP’s privatization, EDP’s share capital increase in 2004, EDP Energias do Brazil IPO in 2005 and EDP Renewables IPO in 2008.

He was a member of the Board of EDP Distribuição Energia from January 2009 to February 2012.

Miguel was also a non-executive  Member of  the Board of  Directors of  EDP Inovação, EDP  Ventures, EDP  Gas Distribution and Chairman of  InovGrid ACE.

In 2012 he was  appointed Chairman of EDP Comercial as well as Counselor-Delegate and Vice-Presidente of  Hidroeléctrica del Cantabrico and Naturgas Energia. In 2014 he was appointed as Chairman of EDP Soluções Comerciais. He is currently a Director of FAE – Fórum de Administradores de Empresas.

He was appointed member of EDP Executive Board on 20 February 2012 and reappointed on 21 April 2015.

Lies initially earned her stripes in the FMCG sector, fulfilling various (managerial) positions in a marketing career spanning over 20 years. At the helm of Continental Foods’ marketing department, for example, she directed multiple award-winning campaigns for such local A brands as Devos Lemmens, Royco, Liebig Delisoup, Aiki and Imperial. And before that, as a marketeer at Alken-Maes, Nestlé Waters, Imperial Tobacco and Campbell Foods, she added many successful launches and campaigns to her marketing belt. But that was all before Lies made the shift to automotive in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience and proven prowess in creativity, innovation, digital transformation and customer centricity to an industry in desperate need of all of them. In the first instance as Marketing Director for the BMW Group Belux and now as Managing Director of Polestar Belgium, the disruptive new kid on the block.

Kristian Ruby took over as Secretary General of Eurelectric, effective 1 January 2017. Prior to his appointment, he worked at WindEurope as part of the Executive Management team where, in his capacity as Chief Policy Officer, he was in charge of developing and implementing the political strategy of the association. Mr Ruby previously also held positions as assistant to the former European Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie Hedegaard and served, for a number of years, as a public servant in the Danish Ministries of Climate and Energy as well as Environment.

Sara Riera is head of Energy & Charging at SEAT (VW  Group) since 2018. She is in charge of accelerating the e-mobility transition by providing the necessary products, services and customer experience at the intersection of automotive and energy.

Prior to this role, Sara held positions in the car manufacturer in the areas of corporate strategy, business development and product management, building a strong expertise in automotive and mobility sectors.

Sara holds a degree in Mathematics and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, and an MBA from IESE Business School. She collaborates part-time with IESE Business School and has co-authored various articles in the field of electric vehicles.

Sara was listed TOP Women in EV in the EV Summit 2020.

Urska Skrt is a Manager for Mobility at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). She contributes to the Transforming Urban Mobility agenda by leading the project of mobility decarbonization. 

 

She promotes cross industry collaboration, advocates, and provides recommendations for accelerated decarbonization of mobility with an ambitious objective to unlock the value of vehicle fleet electrification that resides at the intersection of mobility, real estate and energy.

 

Urska has extensive experience in the area of smart energy demand response, smart cities and vehicle electrification and was a member of several European private public partnerships. Among other, she was a member of the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EPOSS) and an Industry board member of European Green Vehicle Initiative (EGVI).

A Finnish national, Mr Hedberg holds an MBA/Economics degree from the Turku School of Economics in Turku, Finland and a post-graduate diploma from the School of International Relations of the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

He joined the European Commission as a desk officer in DG Competition in 1996 and later worked in DG Enlargement.

Mr Hedberg pursued his career as a Member of the Cabinet of Commissioner Liikanen (Enterprise policy and Information society) and thereafter of the Cabinet of Commissioner Rehn (Enlargement policy). In 2007, he became the Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Commissioner Kuneva (Consumer policy).

In 2009, he joined DG Enlargement as the Head of Unit responsible for relations with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. In 2012, he took up the post of Head of Unit dealing with Land Transport Policy in the Commission’s Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

From 2014 to 2019 he was the Deputy Head of Commissioner Bieńkowska's Cabinet (Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs).

In 2019, he returned to DG MOVE as the Head of Unit responsible Policy co-ordination and Inter-institutional Relations. In 2021, he was appointed Head of Unit for Sustainable & Intelligent Transport.

Jean Philippe LAURENT began his career in Philips Research on the premises of artificial intelligence applied to lighting and consumer products.

He joined Siemens-VDO Automotive, leader in automotive electronics, in 1997. He was in charge of various fonctions: business, product development and product strategy.

From 2006 to 2018, he was successively in charge of R&D, Marketing and Sales & Marketing at Dalkia. Dalkia is a leading energy services company that develops and operates heating networks, energy efficiency solutions and renewable energy.

In March 2018, he was appointed EDF's Deputy Director of R&D in charge of the Commerce, Renewable Energy, Energy Management and Networks business areas.

Since July 2020, he has been in charge of Strategy and Development for the EDF Group's Customers, Services and Territories Division.

Elisabetta Ripa was born in Turin in 1965. After graduating in Economics and Commerce at La Sapienza University in Rome, she completed her management training with a Master’s in Operational Management at INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

Her career began in Promomedia Italia in 1988. In 1990 she joined the Telecom Group (then SIP) as Head of Strategic Planning for Mobile Services, serving in various roles with significant managerial responsibility in different fields, including Business Development, Finance and International Development.

In 2005, the year of the merger between Telecom Italia and TIM, she became Head of the Group’s strategic marketing, going on to coordinate relationships with institutional investors.

In 2011 she became Head of the Mobile Services Division for the Consumer segment (TIM), and in 2013 she was appointed Managing Director of the Sparkle Group.

In 2015 she was made Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Argentina SA.

In 2018 she became Managing Director and General Manager of Open Fiber, a role that she served in until August 2021.

Formerly Chair of Personal S.A., LanMed Nautilus Ltd and TIS North America Inc., she has also served on the boards of Avea in Turkey, StetHellas and Autogrill SpA.

In 2018 she joined the President’s Council of Asstel and the Advisory Board of IAB Italy.

In 2019 she was included on Forbes’ list of Italy’s most successful women and she also won the Bellisario award in the Management category.

In May 2021 she was appointed to the board of Telenor.

In November 2021 she became Head of the Global Division of e-Mobility at Enel.

Michelangelo AVETA is the Advisor for Electromobility and Energy Efficiency at Eurelectric, the sector association representing the European electricity industry. With members in over 30 European countries, Eurelectric speaks for more than 3,500 companies in power generation, distribution, and supply.
In his daily tasks, Michelangelo coordinates Eurelectric’s expert groups on mobility and the construction sector. In doing so, Michelangelo acts as Electrification Lead within Eurelectric, to ensure the maximum level of consistency and ambition in the industry positions on the broad spectrum of the policies aiming at the decarbonisation of the European economy.


Before joining the association in 2021, Michelangelo worked in Brussels for three years as a public affairs consultant advising associations and corporations from the automotive and transport sector. Michelangelo holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, and a master’s degree in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.

Jan is Head of Northern and Western Europe in IONITY and is responsible for the development and establishment of IONITY’s high power charging network in the Nordic, Baltics, UK, Ireland, France, Portugal and Spain.

In his former position as Country Manager Norway in Fortum Charge & Drive Jan Haugen Ihle developed and established the largest and most successful charging network in Norway. He has made this possible by developing customer friendly solutions and cooperating with future oriented partners. Norway has the highest

density of electric vehicles in the world. During this establishment and development, he has gained a unique experience in the EV market.

Based on his experience through his work, Mr. Ihle is a frequently used speaker at international environmental conventions, e-mobility conferences and exhibits all over Europe. The Norwegian success in establishing a fast-growing foothold for electrical vehicles and the necessary infrastructure has put Norway on the map in this respect.

Alexander is working for DG MOVE’s sustainable transport team, and responsible for electromobility and consumer rights in the context of the newly proposed Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation. He is also managing the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF), which is a formal expert group of the Commission, set up to assist with the implementation of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Directive currently under revision. He chairs the STF sub-group on best practices of public authorities to support the deployment of recharging infrastructure (more info: https://ec.europa.eu/transport/themes/urban/stf/active-sub-groups/sub-group-4_en). He has a background in competition and energy, having previously worked for DG COMP and in the energy sector.

Gaël Glorieux is the Head of Strategic Communications at Eurelectric, the federation for Europe’s electricity industry. In this position, she manages the communications on behalf of 3500 member companies active in electricity generation, distribution and supply.

Prior to this position, Ms Glorieux worked on electricity market regulation issues and was a public affairs adviser, managing contacts with the European Parliament and Council on behalf of the European electricity industry. She has now more than 20 years of experience in the electricity industry business.

Bertrand Deprez is Vice-President in charge of EU Government Affairs at Schneider Electric. He is heading the group’s liaison office to the EU. He provides expertise to EU policy-makers on a wide range of issues related to Schneider Electric business, in particular regarding digital, energy and climate policies. He is currently holding responsibilities in several associations and groups related to the EU. Among others responsibilities, Bertrand is board member of Digital Europe, European Alliance to Save Energy and the Smart Energy Demand Coalition.


Prior to that, Bertrand worked several years at Edelman/The Centre a well-known PR/PA agency specialised in EU affairs where he managed clients’ accounts in the field of energy and energy efficiency policies. Bertrand also was also the head of the EU policy forum, The Centre, which used to promote dialogue between the political world, the business community and the civil society at European level.


He also created a French-EU dialogue forum on EU policies entitled “Forum 311”. He participated to a International Visitor Leadership Programme organised by the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs in 2009.
Bertrand is a French citizen who graduated at University Lyon 3 (France) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). He now lives in Brussels.

Markus Mildner holds an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and started his career in a management consultancy. He joined Siemens in the year 2000 and since then held several Executive Management positions in Siemens and in-between at BenQ in Germany, Colombia, and Mexico.

From 2016 on he was responsible as General Manager for Siemens Energy Management Division in China. In 2019 he took over the responsibility for global sales at Siemens Smart Infrastructure out of Berlin. Since beginning of 2022 he is the CEO of eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure.

Besides several board memberships he is currently also serving as Industrial Advisor to the Low Carbon Institute of the Jiao Tong University of Shanghai and as Chairman of the Infrastructure Group of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association.
